A man's best friend.

Alma resident Carl Dreffs, 54, sits in his one bedroom apartment with his one-year-old beagle, Buffy on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012. Dreffs considers Buffy his best friend and says, “He’s never let me down. Always here for me.” Dreffs survives off of Medicare and food stamps and has never worked a day in his life. Most daily activities include rolling and smoking cigarettes, as well as listening to music.

Dreffs has been collecting CD’s for over 10 years and has managed to collect 233 since then.  Dreffs favorite hobby is to sit back, relax, and enjoy his music.
